Instagram Challenge: #30daysofmask

Since last year I notice more and more masks in the market.  There are different type of masks - mask sheets, gel mask, cotton mask, sleeping mask and more.

I discovered MD RANKING (MDMALL.com.au) opened at George Street Sydney right opposite Napoleon at World Square (to be exact).  I felt like I am in different world.  My normal beauty shopping is online instead of in the shop. I stars in the shop nearly an hour to touch and try the products. I took some photos of the products that I like to know more (all of them!!) but a handful of beauty products I have tried.  Asian Beauty Products always improves and enhance of their research and the science behind the product therefore I suggest you to do research before you buy because some online shops just want to get rid of the products by selling it cheaper price.  For those people loves to step into the shop, remember to check the manufacturing date or most of the time they will include expiry date and most of the time is 3 years shelf- life.  If they don't have any of these, you are buying with your own risk. Remember it is your face and the only one.

[SNP Cosmetic] Bird's Nest Aqua Ampoule Mask Review

SHINING NATURE PURITY (SNP) BIRD's NEST AQUA AMPOULE MASK has 25ml concentrated moisturising mask pack invigorates fatigued skin. It protects and relieves sensitive skin, and edible-nest swiftlet nest extract (1,000mg) increases moisture content to dry skin, for smooth and clear skin. 

The mask improves moisture holding capacity to make skin lustrous.  It also normalises skin to appear translucent and smooth.  The moisturisation + relief + normalisation of turnover cycle 4-free system: Paraben, mineral oil, artificial color, synthetic silicone Cellulose sheet.  The mask contains natural ingredient with exceptional adhesive power makes it stay on skin for longer periods of time compared to other general felt sheet products.  It does not stimulate skin and has exceptional texture, making it possible to go about daily activities while wearing the sheet 

The major ingredients of this mask are edible-nest swiftlet nest extract.  One of the three beauties of the world Yang Guifei has been known to have frequently consumed edible-nest swiftlet in order to maintain her beauty. Edible-nest swiftlet nest is one of the four health foods of the world. Rich in vitamins and proteins, it brightens skin, normalises the skin turnover cycle, and helps form collagen. By strengthening skin, it improves dryness and treats skin troubles. 

How to Use ?

After facial cleansing, apply toner and remove mask from packaging. Set sheet according to the holes of eyes and mouth, and attach closely to skin. Remove after 20 - 30 minutes and pat gently for absorption of any remaining essence.  You could apply moisturiser after this step.

My thought:

Mask sheet quality: The mask sheet is a high quality cotton mask sheet.  It is quite thick and smooth.  There was also hardly dripping of the essence, which I attribute to the high quality cotton sheet that SNP uses. It can be much of a hassle when the essence starts to drip everywhere because the sheet does not hold it well! Rating: 7.5/10

Mask fit: The mask is also a very good fit. I have a round face and most masks are bigger and hence do not fit me well, but this one felt very comfortable on my face.   Rating: 7/10

Essence scent/texture: Has a refreshing and uplighting scent, smells really good! Essence was light and non-sticky with the mask on. Rating: 8/10

Efficacy/Results: I’m sure many of you are interested in this! But you can tell from my last photo that my skin was pampered, re-hydrated, and plumped.  The most important the redness on my face is lighten and skin feels calm and relax.  I really LOVE the healthy and natural glow that was promised and my skin just felt soft, cool and moist. Rating: 8/10

Recent, I was introduced by a beauty enthusiast, Florence about this brand of mask – Regen Cos+ Plastic Skin Solution – created by Regen Beauty Medical Group. Regen Beauty Medical Group is Korea’s leading plastic surgery hospital that consists of over 30 specialists in different fields. 

Regen Cos+ Plastic Skin Solution consists of 5 variations – Collagen, Whitening, Pore Minimising, Moisturising and Skin Sensitivity. I have chosen to use Skin Sensitivity Suppression tonight because my skin is little dry and sensitive to hot and cold weather late and sometimes has itchy bump in the face but after a short while, it will disappear. I thought to give this a try to calm the irritated and hypersensitivity skin.

Regen Cos+ Plastic Skin Solution is formulated with Halophyte and vitamins in R&5 Complex. Halophyte is a plant that grows in very salty soil and contains a complex of multi-minerals to smooth skin texture and hydrate skin.

Regen Cos+ Plastic Skin Solution Skin Sensitivity Suppression contain:-

• Aloe vera leaf extract (calming, moisturising, anti-inflammatory)
• Propolis extract (exceptional antibacterial properties)
• Portulaca Oleracea extract(superior skin healing properties)

I am very impressed with the mask sheet as it is 100% cotton microfiber sheet (only thecombined benefits of the non-woven fabricsheet + gel mask) and thicker than the normal mask sheets. 

Although it is soaked nicely with the essence but it doesn't dripping wet at all.

How to use?

 

 

My thoughts:

Mask sheet quality: The mask sheet is not like the usual rough papery thin kinds, but one that is thick and smooth. In fact, it feels like a hydrogel mask. I could also tell that all of the essence was held inside the mask sheet itself as it was heavy. There was also hardly dripping of the essence, which I attribute to the high quality microfibre sheet that Regen uses. It can be much of a hassle when the essence starts to drip everywhere because the sheet does not hold it well! Rating: 8.5/10

Mask fit: The mask is also a very good fit. I have a round face and most masks are bigger and hence do not fit me well, but this one felt very comfortable on my face – almost like a perfect fit! I continued with my own activities (aka taking photos for this post), and despite standing upright, the mask did not slide down. Rating:9/10

Essence scent/texture: Has a refreshing and uplighting scent, smells really good! Essence was light and non-sticky with the mask on, although there was a slight stickiness after drying up. Rating: 7.5/10

Efficacy/Results: I’m sure many of you are interested in this! But you can tell from my last photo that my skin was pampered, re-hydrated, and plumped.  The most important the redness on My face is lighten and skin feels calm and relax.  I really LOVE the healthy and natural glow that was promised (see the ingredients list above), and my skin just felt soft, cool and moist. Rating: 8/10

Innisfree: It's a squeeze Rice mask!

Innisfree It's a squeeze mask, rice contain 20mL and it suppose to have brighthening effect..Directions on the package suggests a 10-20 minute application and to "gently pat remaining formula to absorb into the skin" after removal. The mask fits my face very well. The sheet is quite thick. They cut open the eye area and has the piece folded down, making a double layer for the under eye area. The package clearly says to avoid eye and lip area so I don't suggest using that layer for the eye lids. The essence has a faint scent of rice water and it's milky white in color. I left the mask on for 20 minutes and massaged the essence onto my face and neck. My skin felt very sticky afterwards. I waited 30 minutes for the essence to be absorbed.

What's the ingredient?

[Real source face mask made with fresh rice ingredients for moist skin!] 

1. Jeju green complex containing green tea, persimmon, cactus, camellia leaf, and orchid 

2. A triple layer sheet for a complete adherence and a long-lasting effect 

3. Clinical test completed: Skin moisture level increased by 125% after using the product 

What else you need to know

Women have long been using rice water to wash their faces for clear and bright skin. The components in rice smoothes and brightens rough and dull skin. 

How to use

1. After face wash, even out the skin texture with a toner. 

2. Take out the mask and tightly place the mask onto the face, avoiding the eye and lip areas. 

3. After 10~20 minutes, remove the sheet from the face and gently pat your face to let the remaining gel absorb into the skin.

My thoughts:

Mask sheet quality: The mask sheet is a cotton mask sheet.  It is ordinary thickness and smooth.  I could also tell that all of the rice water essence was held inside the mask sheet itself as it was heavy. The mask sheet that I had was dripping of the essence slightly as you could see above I cut out the package, you still could see some essence left over and I used for my neck hand and chest area. Rating: 6.5/10

Mask fit: The mask is also a very good fit. I have a round face and most masks are bigger and hence do not fit me well, but this one felt very comfortable on my face.   Rating: 7/10

Essence scent/texture: Has a refreshing and somehow make me think of SKII FTE ( this mask is nothing near SKII FTE Mask).  Essence was medium think and and sticky with the mask on.  It was still sticky after I massaged it in.  Basically I have to wait it dries.  Rating: 5/10

Efficacy/Results: My skin feels calm and relax.  It also brighthen as it promises. Rating: 6/10

The Face Shop Lip Gel Patch Review

The Face Shop Lip Gel Patch is a lip  mask that offers full of moisture to dry lips.  It has cranberry extract offers nutrition to lips to create lips with luster. 

When pulling out a patch, pull out with a curvy side not with a corner side.

How to use?

 

1. Pull out a patch and attach to the shape of lips.   I also use my warm palm to press in the gel patch after put on so it securely put on.

 

2. Remove after 10-15 minutes and pat the remainder for absorption. 

(My daughter also tried this lip gel patch)

I think this lip patch works really get and definitely stock up very soon!

My Scheming Deep Sea Water + Ice Age Water Extract Moisturising Silk Mask is from Taiwan and remind me a lot from one of my favourite brand from My Beauty Diary.  This brand very popular in Asia and even overseas!  

How do you use?

1.After the cleansing milk and lotion, tear pearl film then apply on the entire face. Slightly adjusted in accordance with the cut of weaving (try to make close docile mask with skin with your fingers to pat bubble and the air squeezed out)

2.after about 20-30 minutes to remove the mask (here to remind you that the most deposited more than 30 minutes, do not apply for too long, but will let the dried mask skin moisture away, so that the skin is more dry!)

3.​​face still left Essence, can use the pulp gently massage pat or to help the skin to absorb, without water cleaning
4.Repeat rinsing mask lotion / cream, and other day-to-day maintenance procedures, moisturizers lock in skin (a lot of people think that rinsing the mask does not need to do any maintenance steps - NO !)
5.weekly is recommended not to use more than three times (excessive nutrients can cause facial skin burden)

The main ingredients for this mask is the deep-sea water, Antarctic glaciers glycoprotein, marine trace mineral elements, coralline algae extract, hyaluronic acid.

My thoughts:

Mask sheet quality: The mask sheet is little rough papery thin kinds, you will feel it is a cheap piece of face mask sheet.  I could also tell that all of the essence was held inside the mask sheet itself as it was dripping down my neck when I put it on.  It can be much of a hassle when the essence starts to drip everywhere because the sheet does not hold it well! Rating: 5/10

Mask fit: The mask is not well- fitted ony face because it not as smooth like others, I have a challenge to fit it in properly.  but this one felt some sort comfortable on my face.  Unfortunately I couldn't continue with my own activities (aka taking photos for this post) because of the mask fit and overflow essence. Rating: 5/10

Essence scent/texture: Has a refreshing and uplighting scent, smells really good! Essence was light and non-sticky with the mask on, but too much, and used all over my arm, neck, hand and even my leg!!. Rating: 6/10

Efficacy/Results: I’m sure many of you are interested in this! But you can tell from my last photo that my skin was pampered, re-hydrated, and plumped.  The most important the redness on My face is lighten and skin feels calm and relax.  I really LOVE the healthy and natural glow that was promised. Rating: 7/10
