The term N.M.F. stands for Natural moisturizing factor (N.M.F.). Natural moisturizing factor (N.M.F.) is a collection of water-soluble compounds like amino acids and salts that are only found in the stratum corneum. These compounds compose approximately 20-30% of the dry weight of the corneocyte. The skin cells that form the outmost layer of the epidermis contain and produce NMF to hydrate the surface layer.

Because NMF components are water soluble, they are easily leached from the cells with water contact - which is why repeated contact with water actually makes the skin drier, cracked, and will look unpleasant. The lipid layer surrounding the corneocyte helps seal the corneocyte to prevent loss of N.M.F.

My Scheming eye masks are unique as they are the gel masks and only a couple of brands are doing gel masks right now. This mask is made from Taiwan and it is a Christmas from my friend, Florence.

(The eye mask gel is so soft, it was torn after I pulled out!)

I really like these masks. They smell good, they do reduce puffiness and they fill in fine lines under eyes temporarily. I cannot say what they would do for wrinkles under long term use; I only use them when I want to relax my eyes. I would give them a 5/5.  The gel provides a cooling sensation that tops cotton/pulp masks in my opinion and the smell very nice and relaxing. I could use this in the office!

Missha Geum Sul Oriental Gel Mask  is an Oriental enriched gel mask, containing wild ginseng extract,  deer atlers extract, reishi mushroom extract and pure gold to helo ti keep balance of the skin by providing abundant nutrient while soothing feverish skin. 

The wild ginseng extract,  deer atlers extract, reishi mushroom extract provide abundant nutrients to the skin while the pure gold soothes skin to make it clear and radiant.  The skin-friendly essence gel made with agar extract, one of seaweed, works gently in sensitive skin while abundant minerals make skin healthy.  The active ingredients are melt at skin temperature 36.5C to be worked quickly and effectively in skin.

Unfortunately  after 20mins use my skin didnt feel any smoothness or brighthening at all.  My skin felt wet. I am not sure whether the mask performed  its 100 per cent as it mentioned only melt at skin  temperature 36.5C.  It is winter and my face tend to be quite cold in winter, especially my nose.

I definitely  give it a ago again in Summer time.
