Who is The History of Whoo?

Once upon a time, there lived a queen with the most beautiful skin, who never aged and lived with great dazzling beauty until her death. Her spirit lived on in the hills and valleys of the country, and with the plants and roots of that land, people collected her spirit and put it into bottles for all to share, and everybody lived beautifully and happily forever after.

If there would to be a short fairy tale made of the concept behind the brand Fu (pronounced ‘whoo’), this would be it. The last syllable of the word ‘wanghoo’ (왕후), which means ‘queen’ or ‘queen consort’ had become the brand; the image portrayed can’t be more blatant.

From South Korea’s second largest cosmetic and healthcare producer comes a luxurious, fit-for-a-royal brand of cosmetics: The History of Whoo. Despite being around for the last ten years or so, this brand of cosmetics have been raved for their exclusivity along with their use of superior active ingredients.

As their background story goes, Whoo was created with the idea of reviving the Korean royal culture’s aesthetic through modern science and technology, with an emphasis that their products are akin to Oriental herbal medicine befitting for an Empress.

The history of Whoo is a famous, supreme skincare brand born in 2003. It uses secret beauty formulae of the royal court and Gonjinbidan, a formula presented exclusively to emperors and empresses. (Gonjinbidan gave empresses an elegant and fresh face irradiated even without make-up) The formulae are scientifically revived. Its products maintain skin’s balance. They are developed in an effort to comprehensively resolve problems experienced during skin aging rather than a specific skin problem.Combining the secret formulae of the royal court and oriental medicine, as well as state-of-the-art technology from a Korea’s cosmetics research institute, the history of Whoo offers Asian women cosmetics that are most suitable for Oriental skin.
